[Solved] Repository change

I was surprised this morning while doing my routine weekly update/upgrade

~$ sudo pkgin update
processing remote summary (http://ftp.fr.NetBSD.org/pub/pkgsrc/packages/NetBSD/amd64/8.0
pkgin: Could not fetch http://ftp.fr.NetBSD.org/pub/pkgsrc/packages/NetBSD/amd64/8.0/All

Looking closer…
A repo change took place yesterday and packages are now at http://ftp.fr.NetBSD.org/pub/pkgsrc/packages/NetBSD/amd64/8.0_2018Q2/All instead of http://ftp.fr.NetBSD.org/pub/pkgsrc/packages/NetBSD/amd64/8.0/All

I couldn’t find any announcement regarding this change :hushed:

EDIT: I don’t use IRC, so have no idea if it was announced there, but nothing in www.netbsd.org, pkgin.net or mail-index.netbsd.org
Anyway, everything is fixed on my system (edited /usr/pkg/etc/pkgin/repositories.conf).
Just wondering if this is normal behaviour, as I’m new to any BSD.

Could actually be because 8.1 is coming soon…
Damn that would be fast

Maybe … I haven’t seen any official announcements …

Fix here https://mail-index.netbsd.org/netbsd-users/2018/09/19/msg021448.html
It was a lost symlink, 8.0 should point to 8.0_2018Q2
Just have to wait until the mirrors sync next time and change back my repositories.conf

Thanks for update

Yeah! I figured that a link pointing just to the general mailing-list would soon become outdated
The french mirror is updated now and so is my system.
No need to thank me. Just keeping it in shape
